They are detain in prison cell where circumstances ease out the differences between their ideals and forge understanding, acceptance and emotional attachment.Later Molina got out of prison on parole while Valentin was left behind to be tortured. On the day Molina left the prison cell, he gave in to Valentins plea for him to call his comrades and deliver his message. The story ended with Molinas death while carrying out favor for his prison mate, while Valentin was in the hospital after being tortured to death.
